About the Artist.......
The Artist is a very private person that is devout to the faith
and beliefs which have been learned through the vast
variety of spiritual studies performed. The Artist caters to
no particular religion or dogma, and through study and
practice, developed a self-styled belief system based on the
monotheistic tradition.
Through prayers and meditations, techniques for applying
paints to the blank canvas "come through", and without
thought, the paints are distributed and manipulated until
"finished" comes to mind. Often, the Artist wears
headphones and plays music that distracts the creative
centers to allow a more pure connection to come through on
the canvas.
All works are done in the privacy of the Artist's studio, and
comprise solely of primed canvas and acrylic paints. Nothing
comes in contact with the canvas other than the paint. No
brushes are used. The works are free form and develop in
progressive applications.
The Artist grew up in the United States in a typical family
environment. The education process was through the public
education systems where a technical degree was eventually
obtained from a major university. Spiritual studies came
later in life, which eventually assisted in allowing the Artist
to discover the ability to function in "the left and right
brain" - analytical and creative - a rare combination. Thus,
The Artist has had no training, formal or informal, in art,
painting, or creative studies. It seemed to come natural.
Also, creative writing such as poetry and short stories are a
tendency as well, where hundreds have been generated.
Presently, well over 700 art pieces have been created, of
which 100 or so are hanging on the walls of the Artist's
seasonal and inter-continental homes. Various other
quantities are on display at multiple locations in the United
States and Europe.
The Artist feels that the expression and ultimate viewing of
the art is of much greater importance than the value society
may or may not place upon them. Each piece has a unique
message to convey to the individual viewer and speaks at a
subconscious level.
