ART OF THE LIGHT, LLC

About the Art and Work......
The artwork stated manifesting itself through the artist
during the studies of world spiritual philosophies and shortly
after discovering and watching a movie on the life of
Jackson Pollock in 2004. Still today, Pollock is a major
inspiration for the Artist's pursuit of expression. Other
influences include Monet, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, and
Rothko among others.
Having never taken an art class or ever shown any artistic
or creative abilities prior, with inspiration in hand, the Artist
proceeded to buy some canvas and acrylic paints and
experiment with these newly found feelings and emotions of
creative expression. Despite being a classical logical mind
and problem solver, it seemed that the abstract mind was
awakened and now comes though in this media.
The Artist draws inspiration and strength not only from the
personal artist legends of Pollock. Monet, and Van Gogh,
but from the unusual variety of music played while in the
creative state, From baroque to classic rock and off the
beaten path alternative, music plays a major role in
expressing in this form. Life issues and experiences,
emotions, and mental framework also come into play.
Ultimately, it is the spiritual connection and the feeling
inside that needs to express the soul and divine inspiration
in paint that comes through.
After several attempts painting with a brush, the trials
seemed awkward, cumbersome, tedious, and incorrect. One
fateful day, the artist came across some special tools used in
another type of paint application not associated with and
outside of the traditional artistic paint-on-canvas style
practiced for the last several centuries.
The Artist still retains these awkward brush works, along
with the key piece that opened the doorway to the present
wondrous styles and diversity levels of expressions that flow
onto the canvas today.
The variety of these expressions are endless and are only
limited by the time and physical ability of the Artist. Colors,
patterns, styles, sizes, and contrasts can vary. The pieces
are not reproducible and cannot be duplicated due to the
extreme nature and application of the work.
Presently, the artist has developed new techniques and has
expanded to larger canvases (30x30 to 36x48) and has taken
to constructing larger sizes in order to provide grandeur and
fullness to the fine contrasts and details that define this
Artists work. These large works are exhaustive to create
yet provide and incredible insight into the spirit and sou of
art as a whole and is a feast for the mind and spirit.
The largest of the works thus far are approximately 9 feet
by 5 feet, which the Artist created three piece and refers to
then as "the triune of mind, body, and soul". These are
presently unmounted . The Artist prefers square canvas due
to the fact that the art can be hung in any orientation and
has no top, bottom, or sides.
The artists retains all the pieces currently. Shows for the
works have been done on 4 continents, and not in the
traditional style of museums and galleries but rather in more
informal setting where the common person can easily access
and be influenced by the power and drama captured in the
acrylic. The Artist prefers to avoid the hassle, noise, and
expectations of high end presentations in order to appeal to
the more common, truthful, and sincere people from which
the Artist came and still has roots.
Many offers have been made to acquire works from the
Artists, yet all the pieces remain within the Artist's own
collection. Though the Artist is not opposed to others
possessing these works, the artist feels it important that
these works and pieces be seen and view my the masses due
to the inspiration, content, and spirituality each contain, that
art as a whole is meant to be seen, and not hidden away
behind private doors,
Ultimately, the Artist envisions the majority of, if not all, the
works and pieces displayed together in a progressive,
creative collection of the whole of the inspiration process,
accompanied by the music, poetry, words, and other
influences that led to the development and manifestation of
the art.
Currently, over 600 pieces exist, and the number continues
to grow. The diversity, techniques, methods, and directions
which continue to develop and manifest seem to be endless.
